Chinook Centre’s Annual Stampede Breakfast has been a Calgary family tradition for 50 years. Free entertainment, food, coffee and interactive activities allow for an amazing and memorable time to be had by Calgarians and visitors of all ages. Paul Brandt, George Canyon, The Wilkinsons and Jessie Farrell are just a few of the first class entertainers that have performed on the Chinook Centre stage. The first Chinook pancake breakfast began in 1960 as a volunteer “thank you” breakfast for a beard growing contest promotion. Five thousand people attended that breakfast, it has now grown to an event that sees more than 60,000 guests every year, rain or shine.
