Calgary Flooding – 2013 Flood
FRIDAY: It’s expected to be Calgary’s worst flood in decades. Thousands of Calgarians have been forced from their homes as the rivers swell. The City asked people who work downtown to avoid going to work on Friday, while schools, roads and a number of communities were shut down. City officials have asked Calgarians to find shelter with family/friends for at least the next 72 hrs. Those who have nowhere to stay are finding shelter at a number of reception centers.
