Fearless Women Day is an opportunity to celebrate the trailblazer in us all. On August 26th, 2010, women throughout 12 cities in the US and Canada, came together to pay tribute to the long history of fearless women that came before us and paved a trail of endless possibility. Women across North America were nominated by their friends, colleagues, husbands, family members and even the very fearless nominated themselves to be honoured by receiving the first Fearless Woman award in their respective cities.

Fearless Women Day is part of the movement that has sprung from Mary Ann Halpin’s latest portrait book, Fearless Women: Fearless Wisdom. The book features her incredible photography of sword bearing women, along with each woman’s individual story of triumph over trials and trying circumstances.
