Pat’s Auto Parts – Grande Prairie

http://www.patsauto.ca Pat’s Auto was founded in 1955 by Pat Gorman.

Pat traveled the Peace River Country in a red and white Dodge Fargo school bus that was set up as a traveling automotive parts store.

Pat stepped down from owner and operator in 1985 to spend time on other ventures primarily as a Real Estate developer.

Pat’s son Dan Gorman was involved in the business for 27 years but took control in 1995 by buying out the remaining partners. He then helped grow the business to the multi million dollar business that it is today, covering a service area of over 160 km radius of Grande Prairie.

Kenton Switzer was made partner in 2004, and together with Dan Gorman, opened a second Pats Auto location in Dawson Creek BC. The Dawson Creek branch is Managed by Chris Funk.

Dan retired from the company in 2008 and at that time Kenton became full Owner and President of the company.

March 2011 Pats Auto opened a brand new branch in Fort St John BC with Jerry Bueckert as its Manager.
